I've been using Fedora KDE Linux for a decade now, and Emacs for five years. Sometimes they seem like a good fit, and the trade-offs in the medium to long term don't seem so terrible. I am at a point of understanding where my tools' deficiencies lie and where my habits can be fine-tuned, and I believe I am building a thinking workflow that over the course of the next five years could reach a maturity and flexibility to carry forward for the foreseeable future, forming the core of a Hypergoal that is simply: build an automated organic life, a system of natural tendencies, if you will.
What are the risks and opportunities which may cause me to expand my horizon?
